Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.3-7) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7 When opening a pdf file in a background tab the zoom buttons are disabled (both, as toolbar buttons as well as in the menu). When using Ctrl-MouseWheel the buttons are magically enabled. That bug smells very much like http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56717 which apparently has not yet been fixed.

Confirming for 3.4.0. Issue is with kghostview not kpdf.
On KDE 4 this bug is no more reproducible it uses okular which works fine when embeeded on konqueror (kghostview looks no more mantained). Moreover Konqueror in KDE 3 is no more mantained so I'm closing this.
