Description Willi Richert 2004-08-11 17:17:54 UTC
Version: 3.3 (using KDE 3.3.0, compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.3-7)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.7

When opening a pdf file in a background tab the zoom buttons are disabled (both, as toolbar buttons as well as in the menu). When using Ctrl-MouseWheel the buttons are magically enabled.

That bug smells very much like http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=56717 which apparently has not yet been fixed.

??

Try opening
http://www.google.de/search?q=gatsoulis%20learning%20to%20forage%20imitation&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
in a fresh konqueror. Then open the first link (PDF) in a background tab. The
zoom buttons are closed (though not in every try I took).
Then do Ctrl-mouswheeling

kghostview or kpdf?

Confirming for 3.4.0. Issue is with kghostview not kpdf.

On KDE 4 this bug is no more reproducible it uses okular which works fine when embeeded on konqueror (kghostview looks no more mantained).

Moreover Konqueror in KDE 3 is no more mantained so I'm closing this.
