Version: 3.2.2 (using KDE 3.2.2, Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker) Compiler: gcc version 3.4.1 (Mandrake Linux (Cooker) 3.4.1-0.1mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.6-3mdk Mozilla 1.7 renders this fast: http://www.voyages-sncf.com/dynamic/_SvHomePage?_TMS=1086511098685&_DLG=SvHomePage&_LANG=FR&_AGENCY=VSC But konqueror is damn slow at it. Plugins are deactivated, java on but not used in webpage.
Many HTTP requests (images and frames). I'd guess that the slowness is due to the lack of HTTP pipelining.
According to Gentoo-Wiki, installing "polipo" should enable pipelining or at least work around the problem to make Konqueror use it. useful links: http://gentoo-wiki.com/TIP_Konqueror http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_pipelining#Implementation_in_web_browsers
Seems to be faster on trunk r794020 if the js debugger is turned off. With the debugger turned on it takes ages to display the site on a slow PC. This is probably due to some obfuscator being used.
Still slower on Konqueror (both 3.5.7 and 4.0.3) than on Firefox Also, occasionally loads a blank page altogether (although you can view source code successfully) or loads layout incorrectly (overlapping text, etc)
Page consistently loads with maligned text in Konqueror 3.5.7 and 4.0.3 1. open in konqueror: http://www.voyages-sncf.com/dynamic/_SvHomePage?_TMS=1086511098685&_DLG=SvHomePage&_LANG=FR&_AGENCY=VSC
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
