Description Jarne Cook 2004-06-06 08:32:50 UTC
Version: 3.2.2 (using KDE 3.2.2, (testing/unstable))
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040401)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.6

My system:/ folder contains:
1 cdrom device,
7 hard disks,
8 samba mounted shares,
a printer settings, and
a system settings folder

None of these can be renamed.

Either the function to (F2, type) should be removed thus removing errors such as "Could not delete file devices:/devhda1.diskhda1". Or users should be able to give more aesthetic titles to the objects instead of the defaults such as "Remote Share (Content) [/mnt/smb/drydock/Content]"

The second option would be preferred of course.

Confirmed on 3.5a1
Comment 2 klaatu 2008-05-05 03:34:53 UTC
Exists in 3.5.7

but since 4.0.3 doesn't seem to support the system:/ location, it's not an issue in KDE 4.

This is probably not coming back in 4, but you can always file a wishlist.
