Version: 0.11.10 (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Slackware Packages Compiler: gcc version 3.3.3 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.6-cko1 When I drag mp3 files to a new audio project k3b says "Unable to handle the following files due to an unsupported format" and I get a list of files that won't be burned. Rest of my mp3 burn without problems. I've tried different versions of k3b (including CVS) cdrecord and cdrdao without any success.
I have the same/similar problem. K3B graphically says: "Unable to handle the following files due to an unsupported format:" On the console it is: " k3b: (K3bAudioDoc::createTrack( /jens/kinderusw/Das Liederbuch 1/24 - Das Liederbuch 1 - Was müssen das für Bäume sein - Jürgen Schöntges & Freunde.mp3 ) k3b: (K3bAudioDoc::createAudioFile( /jens/kinderusw/Das Liederbuch 1/24 - Das Liederbuch 1 - Was müssen das für Bäume sein- Jürgen Schöntges & Freunde.mp3 ) k3b: (K3bMad::findNextHeader) error: forbidden bitrate value k3b: (K3bMad) cleanup at offset: Input file at: 45056 Input file size: 998751 stream pos: 45055 k3b: (K3bOggVorbisDecoder) not an Ogg-Vorbis file: /jens/kinderusw/Das Liederbuch 1/24 - Das Liederbuch 1 - Was müssen dasfür Bäume sein - Jürgen Schöntges & Freunde.mp3 k3b: (K3bWaveDecoder) /jens/kinderusw/Das Liederbuch 1/24 - Das Liederbuch 1 - Was müssen das für Bäume sein - Jürgen Schöntges & Freunde.mp3: not a RIFF file. k3b: (K3bAudioTrackView::slotChanged) k3b: (K3bAudioTrackView::slotChanged) finished " I send this file as PM to trueg at inf... This bug is maybe related to http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=80543 HTH
BTW: this only happens with some (maybe wrongly bitrated) MP3s. Some other MP3s work okay, i.e. can be dragged and dropped to an audio project
I know of this one... just tell me a fast way to detect 99.9% of all mp3s and ignore all non-mp3 files. I just don't know how.
mp3 detection? What does juk(and others) use? juk recognizes this file as mp3. How does "file" work? Also, maybe, why not taking every *.mp3 or *.MP3 as mp3. I know this not the linux way. But this is true in 99,9% and probably less frustating for users than now. i.e. this might not be elegant, but its more elegant than it is done now imho.
after i added all information for one song, i even could add all other songs without tag information. but after closing k3b once it will be the same problem again...
should be fixed in the upcoming 0.12.8
