Version: 0.11.9 (using KDE KDE 3.2.2) Installed from: Mandrake RPMs OS: Linux When drag'n'dropping some mp3s to k3b it refuses to add them to audio-prjects, complaining that they are in a wrong file-format. "Unable to handle the following files due to an unsupported format:" xmms plays the file well, and says it is an MPEG1 layer 3 in 192 kbps and 44100 hz The file-command says the following: MP3 file with ID3 version 2.3.0 tag Most mp3s are decoded well with k3b. Is this a k3b-problem or is it a MAD-problem?
please send one of those files to trueg@informatik.uni-freiburg.de
coming your way as I write this.
Got the same problem here, using the deb for Debian/unstable. Works fine with ogg:s but none of my mp3:s. libmad0, liblame0 is installed
The weirdest part is that most of my mp3's are "accepted" and decompress fine in k3b. It's just some of them that act weird. I've tried files with bitrate up till 256 kbps and they work fine, so it doesn't seem to be bitrate related. -mj
