Description Leo Savernik 2004-03-15 11:56:34 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.1)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
OS: Linux

In file associations, I use for application/pdf:
Open in external viewer

In KDE 3.0, clicking on a link in a webpage that points to a pdf would then correctly launch acrobat reader.

In KDE 3.2, clicking on the same link now embeds the pdf in a kghostview part (which is prioritizes there). However, as I explicitly specified "Open in external viewer", I'd expect it to also open in acroread.

Interestingly, clicking on a pdf in the file view (icon view, list view whatever) *will* load it in acroread.

KDE 3.5.9 and 4.1 (trunk r802881) respect the file associations settings.
