Version: (using KDE KDE 3.2.0) Installed from: Gentoo Packages Compiler: gcc 3.3.2 OS: Linux Hi and thanks for the work of kde, I am using Konqueror to copy my CD-collection to my harddisk (ogg-vorbis) But I don't like the Japanese Metainfo and filenames, so I want to change it by Konqueror at once with the two of three tabs of the file-properties. Changeing the filename works, but then changeing the Meta-Info does only work if you close the info-window between these two steps (by ok). Changeing the filename and the Meta-Info at once doesn't work, the Meta-Infos are just discarded.
I have a similar problem if I try to set the Comment field on the Meta Info tab of a properties dialog for a JPEG file. This problem shows up in KDE 3.1.3, distributed with Mandrake 9.2, and with the KDE 3.2.0 RPMs available from ftp://mandrake.redbox.cz/people/bluehawk/kde32-92, which I believe are Cooker RPMs recompiled for Mandrake 9.2. In Konqueror, right-click on a JPEG Image and select Properties from the menu. Select the Meta Info tab of the Properties dialog box. Type a comment in the Comment field. Do not press the "OK" button; instead, select the General tab. Change the file's name, and press the "OK" button. Back in Konqueror, right-click the image again and select Properties. Select the Meta info tab. The comment field does not contain the comment. If you type a comment, switch to the General tab, and press "OK" without changing the file's name, the comment will be saved.
not ogg specific...

I find that changes to the ID3 tags of MP3 files are frequently ignored, even if you have not changed the filename. Sometimes (rarely) subsequent attempts at changing the info on the same file are successful.
Fixed on 3.5.9. Cannot reproduce on KDE 4 because: 1) konqueror use the dolphin part for the file management 2) the dolphin part actually doesn't let to modify meta-tags.
