Version: 3.2.0 (using KDE 3.2.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22 Konqueror's Status bar always use "Lighter Than KDE Colors" approach. Which means, it is always lighter than other widgets. Hence doesn't look consistent. How to reproduce: 1. Use Plastik style or any style 2. Set color to "KDE Default" (any color) 3. First Close all instance of KFM 4. Open HOME folder 5. Press F9 to enable Navigation Panel 6. You can see that the "Status" below Sidebar is darker than "View of Konqueror's" Status bar. 7. Now using "kcmshell color" Pick the color of Status bar "you would find it 255,255,255" and normal status bar color to be "238,238,230" 8. Hence Konqueror status bar uses different (lighter) color for its statusbar. which is inconsistent. thanks.
I don't know if this is the same thing, but when you change to style with colors and then back, statusbars' colors won't be reverted back to the original ones. I've tried this with BlueMilk&Plastik styles and KEdit's and KMail's statusbar..
Dupe of bug 68347?
#1 is a different issue. #2 is prolly related, as custom palette handling tends to break automatic palette changing
Sorry, misread, ignore the second half of my comment
KDE 3.4 here, The Status Bar always uses ACTIVE window color when there are not split Window, and the normal status bar color should be of the inactive status bar in a split window: Here's how: 0. choose a dark color scheme 1. Open KFM or Konqueror 2. press CTRL+ALT+L (split window left/right) 3. observe the Inactive and active Statubar When there are 'no' split windows, then the status bar color should be of 'the inactive status bar'.

In 3.5, most apps use the "window background" colour for their status bars, so I suppose konq should too? (It currently uses the "standard background" for the active window statusbar)
Cannot reproduce on konqueror 4 (trunk r802881). The color of the status bar respect the settings of the color scheme. (tested with oxygen and plastique).
