Version: unknown (using KDE 3.2.0, compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.2 OS: SunOS (sun4u) release 5.8 If I attempt to start any koffice applications, nothing happens. If I try and start them from the command prompt, I see: kio (KSycoca): Trying to open ksycoca from /var/tmp/kdecache-aaronw/ksycoca kio (KTrader): KServiceTypeProfile::offers( KOfficePart, ) kio (KTrader): Returning 10 offers and then it just returns. I get the same thing for both kword and kspread.

Where did you install koffice, and where is KDE installed? See the bottom of http://www.koffice.org/download/source.php in case you used different prefixes. Or run koffice/tools/scripts/check_koffice_install.sh to debug the problem.
I used /opt/kde3/3.2 as my prefix, the same as everything else.
