Description Sean Lynch 2003-12-14 03:49:58 UTC
Version: unknown (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-10mdk

I have ran across some flash games where I can't use konqueror because the controls don't work. Here are a couple examples.

Works for me, CVS 12-13-2003.
Comment 2 Sean Lynch 2003-12-14 07:36:29 UTC
Hmm... I'm running a CVS of I believe 12/12, I'll update in the next day or so and see if this is still a problem.
Comment 3 Sean Lynch 2003-12-16 06:19:38 UTC
I updated to last night HEAD (12/15) and its still a problem for me.

Exactly which flash player version is being picked up? What does about:plugins show?
Comment 5 Sean Lynch 2003-12-16 06:44:59 UTC
about:plugins (which I didn't know existed, nice) gives..

Shockwave Flash
Shockwave Flash 6.0 r79
libflashplayer.so
application/x-shockwave-flash - Shockwave Flash (swf)
application/futuresplash - FutureSplash Player (spl)

Exactly the same version here. I don't know what to say. My best guess is
that it's a QXEmbed or KWin related problem though.

Comment 7 George Staikos 2003-12-18 22:56:11 UTC
A-ha! Confirmed. I think it's either a QXEmbed problem or a KHTML problem. I was able to get the *keyboard* focus onto the flash plugin by activating the context menu for flash first. Just right click on the flash object and then cancel the menu as a workaround for now.
Comment 8 Sean Lynch 2003-12-19 04:57:11 UTC
The workaround doesn't seem to work for me, sadly, but I can wait for the fix. Thanks for looking into the issue further.
Comment 9 Mathias Homann 2004-02-12 10:06:55 UTC
does not work for me... instead, nothing in the flash app works after that.
flash app is on www.lotto24.de and works fine in mozilla 1.6, and did work fine in konqueror 3.1.x. broken in konqueror 3.2.0.

Since the above links no longer work, heres one straight from the source.

Still does not work as of CVS (01-10-05)

I don't see any of these urls working. So I'm closing this, but please reopen if there are other examples that exist on modern versions of kde and flash.

Flash in general works for me on ~4.0.3; not the newest flash version, but 9.0 r115 This works for me on most things.

Thanks!
