Version: 4.0 (using KDE 3.1.94 (CVS >= 20031206), compiled sources) Compiler: gcc version 3.3.1 (Mandrake Linux 9.2 3.3.1-2mdk) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.22-10mdk Konqueror has a problem with switching stylesheets on http://www.mozillazine.org . Do the following: 1.) Go to http://www.mozillazine.org 2.) Click on View, Use StyleSheet, AfterDark . This will change the stylesheet OK. 3.) Now click on View, Use StyleSheet, Automatic Detection . This should have changed it back to the original stylesheet but now all text that should be black has stayed white. It'll also do this if you choose Basic Page style.
Where is the "View" ?
mozillazine.org pulled its alternate stylesheet some time ago, probably for bandwidth reasons (heavy traffic resulting from the releases of Firefox and Thunderbird). So I guess this bug is WFM unless someone can find another page with a similar problem, since I believe the underlying problem was fixed at some point (I no longer see it on my own test pages with 3.2.1) Btw, you can add a switcher widget ("Use StyleSheet") to the khtml main toolbar part with the toolbar configuration tool. Better than using View... since you can readily see when a site has alternate stylesheets.
Should this bug be closed, since mozillazine.org has changed?
Created attachment 10191 [details] The testcase described in the comment. The problem still applies! You can see this when you write a small website with a style section (e.g. <style type="text/css" title="Standard"> ) and write some text. I this stylesheet you define something like this: body { color: white; } Now you load this page in Konqueror. As expected you "see" a white text on white background. Now you switch the stylesheet to basic(View->Use Stylesheet->Basic Page Style). What _should_ happen is that the font now becomes black and you are able to see your text. But it doesn't! Everything but the font style is reset. The complete CSS is only removed when you reload the page.
This still exists in 4.0.3
Message from the Bugsquad and Konqueror teams: This bug is closed as outdated, as we do not have the manpower to maintain the KDE3 version anymore. If you still can reproduce this issue with Konqueror 4.8.4 or later, please open a new report. Thank you for your understanding.
