Version: 3.1.94 (using KDE 3.1.94 (3.2 Beta 2), Gentoo) Compiler: gcc version 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r3, propolice) OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r8 I can't access my digital camera (Canon Digital IXUS II) within konqueror. It worked flawlessly with KDE 3.1.4. The camera is recognized correctly within the KControl module and when konqueror displays the URL camera:/, too. When I try to click on the folder "Canon Digital IXUS 2 (PTP mode)", it displays the URL "camera://canon digital ixus 2 (ptp mode)/" (note the small caps!) and fails with either the error "data couldn't be read - bad parameters" or "Unknown Error - Unknown model". I'm using gphoto2 2.1.3, libgphoto2 2.1.3 and libgphoto2_port 0.5.1. When using gphoto2 in the console, everything works as expected. If you need any additional information, feel free to ask me. Best regards, Christian
I can confirm this. I'm using IXUS 300. Installed gphoto2 packages: ii gphoto2 2.1.3-1 ii libgphoto2-2 2.1.3-2 ii libgphoto2-2-d 2.1.3-2 ii libgphoto2-por 2.1.3-2
Well, got today Canon's a60 and it works fine.. IXUS problem or something else?
I have similar problems with a Kodak DX 3700. When I click on the 'Kodak DX3700' folder, the url changes to a lower case 'camera://kodak dx3700/' and I get an "Unknown Error - Unknown model". Using gphoto2 in the console, everything works. (libgphoto2 2.1.2, kde 3.2 beta 2, gentoo linux)
committed a fix to kio_camera for this problem, will be in kde 3.2 i think.
Yes, kde-3.2.0_rc1 works great again.
