Description Philippe Fremy 2003-12-11 13:44:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.94)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

1. Open two konqueror windows with different URL

2. Drag one of the URL from one konqueror window to the adress bar of the other.

3. The URL gets _added_ to the previous one instead of replacing it.

I am not aware of any case where you want to have two URL displayed in the adress bar, so this is definitely a bug to me.

If you drop the URL on the label "location", the good behaviour occur (the current URL is replaced).

Side remarks:
- I do not understand whey there is a '+' sign near the URL when you drop it.

- the |x> box should accept dropping an URL too, no ?

Still there with KDE 3.2.2

Still there in 4.1 svn trunk r828814.
If the url is dropped in the "location:" label, then it deletes the old content, puts the new one and goes to the new url.
The url can be dropped in the address bar (including now the |x> icon), but the address is added to the existing one, and the mouse shows the I icon in the address bar.
Also, I think this could be a lot better if it is possible to drop it also in the "<-|" (Go) widget.

This seems to work in KDE-4.5. E.g. by dragging the favicon from the other window, or a link (anything that is a real URL object, not just plain text).

(And the reason for the "+" is that you're copying the URL, you're not moving it ;)

Please reopen if you disagree, but this seems fixed to me.
