(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: khtml Version: 3.0 (KDE 1.92 Beta >= 20000720) Severity: normal There doesn't seem to be (any obvious) way to save a page as text.

As plaintext. Thanks Simon

Okay then it's a feature request :) I'll change the severity in the bug db. Bye Simon

The major deficiency is currently in the FileDialog which doesn't have support for a "Save As" combobox to specify the file format. I suggest to add a way to pass a list of mimetypes that can be used as "save format". This could also be used to specify e.g. the encoding of textfile saved with the editor. Cheers Waldo -- Make way KDE/Linux is coming to a desktop near you!
Still valid for 3.2.3.
Even valid for KDE: 3.97.1 (KDE 4.0 >= 20071206).
does this whis still valid in konq 4.2.4?
Anyway, while this feature is not implemented, you can have the same result in an easy easy way: just select the text and copy to a text editor.
