Unduped. Can reproduce with kde 3.2.3 and 3.3.0rc2.
Still in KDE 3.4
Can reproduce this with 3.5.2 on this very page: Select in the first message from "To see..." to "...make my self clear. ". So far so good. Now while still holding down left mouse button move the mouse to the right. Result: selection of "Version: KDE: 3.1.92 ..." to "OS: Linux" and also the last three rows of the top right box: reporter through votes.

Can't reproduce on svn trunk r793457 (the original bug, not comment #4, which seems to be something completely different that is not a bug).
Hmm, now I wonder if my report: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=124050 is really a duplicate. The bug I mentioned that several parts are awkwardly selected -- for example you select from left to right, but Konqueror shows selection as if it would be from bottom to top, of course this results in selection you didn't want. This is what Marijn described also in #4 -- are those problems distinct issues, nor not (if yes, distinct -- I will reopen my report).
@Maciej : They are distinct. This bug was about text *in textfields* getting selected in more than one at once, which should never be possible. What you are describing is about general text being selected in a visibly illogical order.
This bug is still present in 3.5.9.
As this bug is fixed in recent releases it's being closed. Setting it to LATER because it does qualify for backporting to the 3.x branch.
