Version: Unbekannt (using KDE 3.1.3) Installed from: SuSE Compiler: gcc version 3.2 OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19 While leaving a secure web page (httpS) and loading an unsecure web page (http) there should be a warning that you are leaving the ssl mode (something like that). It works fine as long as you enter a slash at the end of the domain. For example, you will get a warning if you enter "http://127.0.0.1/". But there is NO warning for "http://127.0.0.1" (without a slash)!
That's an odd situation. But I can confirm it (HEAD 20031007).
I assigned this to myself, but (don't know why) isn't assigned to me now (I try to reassign it.. hope will least!). In fact i can confirm this bug on 20031014 head. I've traced down this to kdelibs/kio/kio/tcpslavebase and a metaData (ssl_was_in_use) CLEARED when typing an address w/o trailing slash. The problem is that nobody explicitly clears that variable (looked through all main CVS modules). All I can think by now is that without trailing slash the url is a 'different' type of address that inherits the dafults value for tat metaData... investigating..
confirming that this bug is still current for kde 3.4.0
still present in 3.5.4.
Still present in 4.0.3
Cannot reproduce. Feel free to reopen this ticket if that is not the case for you with KDE 4.7 and higher.
