Installed from:    compiled sources
Compiler:          gcc version 3.2.2
OS:          Linux (i686) release 2.4.20

kmail segfault when ~/Mail is a file. It must be dir.

Possibly this is related to bug 56278. Problems when reading from ~/Mail.

Thanks for your bugreport. This bug has been fixed in the current development version of 
kmail. The fix will be in kmail 1.6.
