Description bill gardner 2003-05-30 19:56:47 UTC
Version: 3.1 (using KDE 3.1.2)
Installed from: Gentoo
Compiler: gcc version 3.2.2
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.20-gentoo-r2

It would be nice if a filter were automatically created for every category. Thus when a new category is created, a new filter would be created which only selects that category and would be called by the same name as the category.

At startup there should also be default filters for the default categories.

This will mean adding code to automatically delete the default filter if a category were removed.

Thanks

This feature is implemented now in CVS HEAD.

Ciao,

I see that this bug was marked RESOLVED in May 2003, however, as of February 2008 the feature is still not found in kaddressbook. When will it be added?
Comment 3 Dotan Cohen 2008-12-04 22:57:23 UTC
Reopening as the feature is still missing.
Comment 4 Tobias Koenig 2009-08-05 15:53:26 UTC
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
