Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1a) Installed from: Debian stable Packages OS: Linux I'm used to have an xconsole started from gdm, and would like to use session management. The problem is the xconsole is root's, and if I save the session, on next kwin startup the running xconsole gets killed and kde does try to start another xconsole unable to read console messages. I think the sensible solution would be to do as windowmaker does, and let the user tell ksmserver some app (window) should be excluded from session management.
