Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: gcc 3.2.something (that is my compiler, not sure what orth compiles with exactaly other then it is 3.1 or greater) OS: Linux When I access one of my [many] webmail accounts I like to utilize Konqueror's autocompletion because of the legnth of the field. I found that if i right click on an HTML form's field I can choose between a number of different "styles" of autocompletion; "None", "Manual", "Automatic", "Short Automatic", "Dropdown List" and "Dropdown List and Automatic". I prefer "Automatic". If I select "Automatic" (or any other non-default option) I am presented (as expected) with the new style of autocompetion. The thing is that when I visit another page (or this same page in the future) with a form the autocompetion style always returns to "Dropdown List", the default. I would also like to see exceptions to your chosen type of autocompletion based on URI or site ( I suppose that is a Whislist item that I should submit seperatly). - BTW - IMHO "Dropdown List and Automatic" should really be "Automatic Dropdown List".
confirming for 3.4.0.
I can't reproduce this in either 3.5.9 konqueror or 4.0.3. This has probably been fixed.
I can confirm this. I went to www.google.com and changed it to automatic. After searching and going back to Google, it switched back to Dropdown List. I'm using Arch Linux with KDEmod 3.5.9
This bug is still in 3.5.9 but resolved in trunk r803905. It's still not configurable by site (please file a wish if that's something you want :)) but it's even getting saved across sessions.
I hate to be wrong.. but this still IS reproducable in trunk r803905 :-(
Still a bug in 4.5.4, updating version.
I cannot reproduce with kde 4.6.2, please update and try again, thanks.
