Description Petter Remen 2003-04-06 23:05:45 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1.1)
Installed from: Gentoo Packages

When using the extract->extract to... dialog and explicitly specifying e.g. /tmp/new1/new2 where /tmp/new1 does not exist, ark asks if the directory should be created but upon confirmation displays "Directory could not be created. Please check permissions."

Creating /tmp/new1 first (e.g. in a shell) solves the problem.

Probably a good idea to let Ark create non-existing subdirectories as well?

Implemented for the upcoming KDE 3.1.2.
Thanks for the report.
