Version: kmail 1.5 (using KDE KDE 3.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs To know which of my filters that filters the messages I want to use "add header" to add a X-Filter header with the necessary information to identify the filter. This works when I open the mail with all headers on. and are in the same folder as the filtered mail. However, if I am in another folder, or if I open another mail and then return to the first mail, the X-Filter has dissapeared. Additional information: I do not use pop or imap I use the gpg-plugin from aegypten. the folder are in mbox format.
Sorry, but I don't understand. Please tell us exactly how to reproduce this problem.

You need to move the "move to folder" action to the end of the action list. If you first move (meaning "file into folder"), then change the mail, the mail in the moved-to-folder is still the same. It might be that the status works, since that is stored separately from the message text, but adding a header will definitely fail. I should probably rename the name of the filter action from "move to folder" to "file into folder". Yes, I shall do that.
Subject: Re: When using "add header" in filters the new header disapears after one view If I, as an user, can make one observation. There is no way a user can know that the move "to folder"/"file into folder" must be the last item of the filter actions. As I am unaware how the internal kmail filtering is done, there seem to be no reason that kmail can not change the file after it has been moved. However, I am sure there is :). I think you need to make sure that the move is done last internally in the kmail filter, so that whatever position it is in the gui it becomes the last filter action performed on the mail/file.
