Description Axel 2003-03-20 23:37:17 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

I have chosen that windows can be maximized over the whole screen,
inluding the panel, in the settings.

But when opening a window (konqueror) the window manager does
_not_ maximize to cover the whole screen, the panel is still visible.

Maximizing/minimizing, clicking panel/window a few times seem to
solve the problem. But the problem arrises again next time you
run konqueror.

It works for me. Please provide a step-by-step description how to reproduce the problem.

Ok. I think I found the problem.

I had saved a view-profile for web browsing with the window
maximized, but with the panel _visible_. That is, the panel and
window did not occupy each others screen-space.

This caused some confusion. :-)
I thought the window was maximizing, but it was just starting
with the view-profile size.

Wouldn't it be more intuitive if it was like that though?
I mean, if you saved the view-profile with the window
maximized, it should save the maximized-state and not the size.

Bug -> wish -> idea ?

Thanks for the great software.

I'll consider implementing that. For now, this is a wishlist.

Done for KDE3.2.
