Description Andy Parkins 2003-03-06 14:11:10 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1)
Installed from: Debian stable Packages
OS: Linux

Having fixed fonts in the message body is important to keep consistent with text mode mail clients. So I like to have "Use fixed font" switched on the message display. However, I don't feel that I need the header (which is very attractive in Fancy mode with a proportional font) to be fixed font also.

My request is therefore: a setting to make the message header remain in a proportional font while the message body is displayed in a fixed width font. i.e. the fixed fontedness of the header and body be settable independantly.

Subject: Re: New: independent "Use Fixed Font" for headers and messages

I don't think that an independent setting for headers and message body
is really necessary. Instead in KDE 3.2 the headers will always be
displayed in the normal font while the message body will be displayed
depending on the "Use fixed font" switch.

So this doesn't really implement your wish (that's why I closed your
wish as WONTFIX) but this solution should also suit your needs.
