Version: (using KDE KDE 3.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs If you create a simple table with more than ca. 1500 lines (e.g. using the script below), rendering of the table *borders* becomes strange - they partially "flip" up- or downwards, or simply disappear for some parts of the table. The table contents, however, are shown correctly. The table itself is "clean" HTML (issued from a database application). FWIW, the same problem is observed with Mozilla 1.0, but not with M$ IE. Here's the script to create a test table - call it with the number of lines on the cmd line: #!/bin/sh # Creates a table with $1 lines. # (C) J. Hau 2003. Released under GPL. NR="$1" if [ -z $NR ] then echo "Please specify number of table lines." exit 1 fi cat <<'EOF' <html> <head> <title>Test-Table</title> </head> <body> EOF echo "<h1>A table with $NR lines</h1>" echo "<table border="2">" for ((i=0; i<$NR; i++)) do { echo "<tr><td>$i</td>" echo "<td>This is line number $i</td></tr>" } done cat <<'EOF' </table> </body> </html> EOF exit 0
Generated 2000 lines http://zebra.tky.hut.fi/~teve/kde/55260.html There is weird single line in up and bottom of the page.
Same problem with http://gambasdoc.org/help/translate?fr (for example) with KDE 3.5.1 on Mandriva.

Created attachment 24214 [details] Simple testfile using the script above * Renders incorrectly in 3.5.9, borders missing after line 1216 and a strange extra-border at the end of the table. * works fine in trunk r793971
Still present in 3.5.9, works in trunk r793971.
reopening as still present in 3.5.9.
Qualifies for backporting to the 3.x branch.
