Description Xanthan 2003-02-07 23:23:33 UTC
Version: 1.4.3 (using KDE 3.0.3)
Installed from: Mandrake Linux Cooker i586 - Cooker
Compiler: gcc version 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-16mdk

I would like KMail to show an information box while it is getting messages from the servers - something like in Evolution, Sylpheed or Balsa. I like to know what the mail program is doing at the moment - which server is it getting messages from, is it logging in/out/getting msg nr, x, etc. I know that there is a progress bar in the lower right corner, but it's too small and doesn't show much (and is in the corner).
And it would be even better if KMail could get messages in threads, from several servers at the same time.

The new statusbar in KMail 1.7 / KDE 3.3 will be more informative. I think you will like it. But you ask for even more information. I'll transfer you to an other wish, which requests that, and has some votes.
