Description Moritz Moeller-Herrmann 2003-02-01 13:18:43 UTC
Version: 3.1 (using KDE 3.1.0)
Installed from: SuSE
Compiler: gcc version 3.2
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.19-4GB

If you have a *.vcf file (like e.g. std.vcf from kaddressbook!), and try to import it into kaddressbook, you will not import all data beyond the first entry. No warning whatsoever! This can lead to major dataloss!

This means there is no way to merge two address books into one ATM.

Hi Moritz,

this bug is fixed now in CVS HEAD and the 3_1_BRANCH, so it will be shipped out
with the 3.1.1 release.
Thank you very much for this hint.

Ciao,
Tobias

I am using Kaddressbook 3.1 with KDE 3.1.1 on SuSE 8.1. I have the same problem
as above when trying to import the vcard contact list from Evolution. I get the
first entry and nothing else.

mi uzas 3.2.1. kaj ankaux havas problemo.

I use 3.2.1 and when I import my vcards only a small part of the notes are being imported.

So it looks to me something is still buggy.

The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4.
Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
