It's not really a bug...

This is actually a bug. It is caused by that the tab_remove/tab_new_raised/tab_new is only available in 16x16. Add them to your toolbar, set the size to something big and observe icon loader scaling a 16x16 bitmap to 48/whatever. (Or look at the attached screenshot)

The scaling thing is a bug, but I happen to like the icons.

Is this bug still present in a recent version of KDE, such as 3.5.8 or KDE 4.0RC2?
