Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux For big cities in Germany www.stadtplandienst.de would be a better way to map the address to a map. So it would be nice if the location plugin could a) use several such services b) prioritize them (quality-wise)
Hi Volker, this is implemented now in CVS HEAD. It's not yet perfect, but I work on it. Ciao, Tobias
Instead of priority you should be able to specify which service to use for a contact (perhaps with a possibility to specify in the config which service will be the default choice). This would be particularly useful for people with contacts in many countries. Ooohhh - I just thought about an extension of this. If you have nothing better to do let the specification be associated with a country (or even one or more countries). Then it would be possible to change the service for a country and you wouldn't have to update it for all people with address in that country. That way it would work also for a person (rich people...) with addresses in several countries. Kjetil with domain Kilhavn period no
Hi, www.dasoertliche.de is very useful for aerching phonenumbers. So if you could insert it in next release it would be helpful for many pepole i think. But for that you need a variable for surname. http://www.dasoertliche.de/DB4Web/es/oetb2ort/oetb_1.htm?st=%s&ci=%l&kw=%[surname]
Here are my settings. Go and use them :-) [Extensions_contact_location] MapQuest=http://www.mapquest.de/cgi-bin/ia_find?event=find_search&link=btwn/twn-map_results&address=%s&city=%l&zip=%z&country=%c UID=Do Feb 5 01:28:35 2004 URLs=map24,MapQuest,YellowMap CityGuide YellowMap CityGuide=http://www.yellowmap.de/YMCity/default.asp?&PS=3&PLZ=%z&HAUPTORT=%c&STRASSE=%s&B1=Suchen&Callmode=0 map24=http://link2.map24.com/?lid=9cc343ae&maptype=CGI&lang=de&street0=%s&zip0=%z&city0=%l&country0=%c&smid=Do Feb 5 01:28:35 2004
The development of the old KAddressBook will be discontinued for KDE 4.4. Since the new application has the same name, but a completly new code base we close all bug reports against the old version and ask the submitters to resend there reports against the new product.
