Version: (using KDE KDE 3.0.99) Installed from: Compiled From Sources Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-113) OS: Linux kscd stops after playing just one number. Not allways, but mostly. It's not limited to certain CD's since it can sometimes play the whole cd and sometimes just a single number on the same cd. If I click the systray icon so that kscd is hidden it just plays 1 track in 100% of the cases, weird. Also, when I close the kscd all together it stops playing even though I've configured it not to. It also takes 3-4 seconds before it exits. None of there problems existed for me in the "old" kscd from kde 3.0.5 or earlier. As an aditional note, I've got a combined DVD/CRROM/cd writer drive. I've seen that to be a vitale issue before, so I'd just like to mention it. The model is a SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SM-308B Hope you can fix it since I use (and so far have been extremely pleaced with kscd) a lot.
does this happen only when you pres the next or previous buttons?
Subject: Re: kscd stops after each number No, it happend if I pressed play and let it play a cd. It would just stop after the first number, then I pressed next it started playing track number 2 and then stopped.... It seems to have been fixed in the stable 3.1, but it still stops playing if I exite the cdplayer even though I've checked it not to
wow.. looking at the source that bug's been there since last summer =( well, it's fixed now and will be a part of 3.1.1 as soon as i commit the backport. thanks for the report!
