(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kompare
Version: 2.0 (using KDE 2.9.2 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Hi!

I really love Kompare! It's by far the best looking diff tool out there!

Yet I miss the ability to adjust the tab width in the display output. When I code perl I usually use a tabsize of 2 spaces/tab. So when 'diffing' two perl files things get messed up quite a bit... I'd LOVE to be able to set various tabsizes depending on the file (MIME) type. That would really be great (in Kate too BTW).

Anyhow 1000 thanx for a really useful tool!

So long
Alexander "Flexx" Wessel

Implemented in the make_it_cool branch in cvs, will be in 3.2 afaict.

As soon as 3.2 is out can you check if this is what you really wanted ?

This now actually really works.. it did not before because of some braindamage on
my side. It is in cvs head now.

Thanks a million, Otto!

The only thing missing now are tabsizes / or even better whole profiles that diff differently ;) depending on the mime-type.

But that should be another wishlist item on its own right.

Cheers,
