Change view mode (View|View Mode). Search result are lost (it will also teminate the search if the mode is changed while the search is still runnig). (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)
Confirmed von CVS 2003-06-14. (3.2 pre) Please have another look into this. Also, the search window becomes invisble when you change directories in the sidebar. You must select Extras -> Search from the menu TWICE to start another search. Thanks,
Valid with HEAD.
This is still current in kde 3.4, Is it possible to move it from wishlist to bug and increment the prioty. I find this the single most irrating problem with konqueror!!!!!
I can't reproduce this bug with 3.5.3 SVN, just a wrong status bar showing the wrong search result. So can this be closed?
I am running 3.5.3 and still get the same problem, sorry to disappoint :)
Yes, this happens here too with KDE 3.5.3.
Hello, This is still in version 3.5.6 (on Kubuntu). If you open the search dialog and change the view then the search dialog disappears. You have to press ctrl+f twice in order to get the search dialog back. Donal
Not really valid for KDE 4, because the KFind application is started instead of embedding it as a KPart. I don't know if that is going to change in the future.
Yep, doesn't apply anymore with KDE-4.x. And even if we make an embedded search later on, it's now the same component that handles all view modes so this wouldn't happen anymore.
