(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kppp Version: KDE 2.2.1 Severity: normal Installed from: Debian Packages Compiler: gcc 2.95 OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified Kppp seems to have a problem with storing passwords. This is not the noauth problem. I.e. I have put noauth in /etc/ppp/options. From the ppp logs it looks like kppp is sending the wrong password. It seems that if you type in the wrong password once with store password selected it is not possible to change the password again. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)

It seems that if you type in the wrong password once with store password selected it is not possible to change the password again. So you see the password in cleartext and it's wrong ? Or do you just get a PPP error in case I'd like to see the relevant excerpt from the log. Harri.
