Description tb 2001-08-18 00:01:46 UTC
(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: konsole
Version: 1.0.2 (using KDE 2.2.0 )
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Red Hat Linux 7.1.93
Compiler: gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-96)
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.4.2-2
OS/Compiler notes:

xkibitz is a useful little tool. I have others that use xterm in a similar way. It would be nice to be able to replace xterm with something a little more modern. The feature I'd like is to be able to use konsole to display an arbitrary pty rather than allocating a new one.

I'd be happy to answer questions to clarify the request.

Replaced tb@polyserve.com with null@kde.org due to bounces by reporter

I received some patches from the Kubuntu developers to do this. Will integrate them.

A feature request from 10 years ago without any vote or supporters. It does not looks like a feature that is important enough or used often .

Close it as WONTFIX.
