Description Michał D. (Emdek) 2012-03-26 10:10:59 UTC
Example will make it more clear:
1. lets say that we have folder named test with items a, b and c;
2. we also have folder named test2, currently empty;
3. we go to folder test and select all items, then we cut them (Ctrl+X) - items got grayed out;
4. now we go to test2 and paste them (Ctrl+V);
5. after that we select them all and copy them (Ctrl+C);
6. and then we paste them (Ctrl+V) into test;
Result?
Newly pasted items (with the same names as before moving first time) are grayed out, like if those were prepared to move them.

Still happens using KDE 4.8.3.
Moreover if we rename items that were cut then they remain grayed out although it is now impossible to move them (pasting attempt results in error message).

Resetting assignee to default as per bug #305719

Thanks for the report, and sorry for the late response. This is fixed in KDE 4.9.4 (even though it looks slightly differently, the root cause is the same as for bug 304615).
