Thanks for the report, I could reproduce the issue. (internal note: Issue is in KFileItemModel. When turning off the "show hidden files" those files must be removed from the filtered items)

Reproduceable with Dolphin 2.1 / KDE 4.9.3 BUT works for me with Dolphin Git Master!!
Yes, works fine using git master. which commit has fixed the problem ? :)
(In reply to comment #4) > Yes, works fine using git master. which commit has fixed the problem ? :) Hmm good question ^^ .... I will try to find it out ;) Or can we close this bug report without it?
Hm, it's a mystery to me how this got fixed - the diff between our KDE/4.9 and master branches is really small, in particular for KFileItemModel. KDirLister hasn't changed much either. However, I can confirm that it works fine in master, so I'd say let's just close it. We could debug this step by step to find out what exactly fixed it, but I think that we can spend our time in more useful ways :-) The ideal solution would be to add a unit test to kfileitemmodeltest.cpp to make sure that this issue does not come back as long as we remember to run 'make test' regularly.
