Version: KDE 4 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux I have regular alarms to remind to do something that day/morning/minute etc. Something that is needed to be done that day may get deferred for a couple of hours, or something more time critical may be in two minutes. It would be very useful (for me and hopefully others) if each alarm could specify the default time interval so that I don't constantly have to change it. Reproducible: Didn't try
This seems reasonable. Currently, the problem that would arise is that it would add to the complexity of the Edit Alarm dialogue. I'm thinking of shifting some of the options to another tab - if that happens, I'll implement your suggestion.
I'm reluctant to add extra complexity to the alarm edit dialog in order to set the default defer interval for individual alarms. I'm not convinced that it would be commonly enough used to justify doing this. Two features in KAlarm provide partial control over defer intervals, even if they don't provide exactly what you request: 1) The default defer interval common to all alarms can be set in KAlarm's preferences. 2) Whenever an alarm is deferred, the selected deferral interval is saved as the default for future recurrences of that alarm. So, instead of setting its defer interval when you create an alarm, you actually set it the first time you defer the alarm.
