Description Christian (Fuchs) 2011-03-06 15:38:44 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS: Linux

This bug was already present in older releases, got fixed and now re-appeared in 4.6.1.

When the device notifier is set to be automatically hidden in the system tray settings, the notifier pops up somewhere in the middle of the desktop when a device gets plugged in. This does not happen when the notifier is configured to be always shown in the systray, but then it occupies space while it is not needed 99% of the time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Configure the device notifier to appear in the systray.
Configure it to be automatically hidden when not used.
Plug in a mass storage device / optical media

Actual Results:
Popup appears somewhere in the middle of the screen

Expected Results:
Popup appears next to the systray
