Description Gael Beaudoin 2010-11-27 09:45:04 UTC
Version: 2.0 beta1 (using KDE 4.5.80)
OS: Linux

I have jump to first unread message on entering a folder that does not work. But even when I have no unread messages, the first selected message is the topmost one. Each time I enter the folder I have to scroll to the bottom of the list (I use reverse sorting, last messages at the bottom).

It used to be ok in kmail 1.x, always where I expected it to be.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Reproductible: Always
Comment 2 Laurent Montel 2010-12-14 18:43:00 UTC
I confirm it

This seems to be fixed in kde 4.5.85 (KMail 2.0.89)

I take that back :-/ It works when you have "Jump to newest message" but not when you have "Jump to First Unread Message".

I can’t see the “Jump to newest message” option. How can I use it? Was it removed from KMail?
Comment 6 Bernd Oliver Sünderhauf 2012-11-29 12:06:22 UTC
@Adrián:
That's strange. I still have it in KDE 4.9.3
Please open a new bug though, if persisting.

The original bug seems to be fixed now for both cases:
- "Jump to Newest Message"
- "Jump to First Unread Message"
Might this be a duplicate of another bug?

I probably have them, but I’ve never used those options, and I did not find then in the Go menu, or the context menu for a message of a message folder. Anyway, I take your word :)
