Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux File properties in Dolphins to me seem not logical Size Modified Opened Now Opened returns the current date and time. Which is not correct. This should be the last time it was actually Opened, not when I calling the file properties. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Starting Dolphin 2. Right clicking (or Alt-Return) on file name 3. Clicking Properties Actual Results: Showing current date and time Expected Results: Showing date and time the file was last opened. This bug was initially reported downstream at https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=610192 Reproducible: Always OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.34-8-default Compiler: gcc
On KDE SC 4.4.5 the file properties dialog display the correct information (Linux 2.6.34.1). Can you reproduce the bug with KDE SC 4.4.5?
(In reply to comment #1) > On KDE SC 4.4.5 the file properties dialog display the correct information > (Linux 2.6.34.1). > > Can you reproduce the bug with KDE SC 4.4.5? Yes, I still have the problem with KDE SC 4.5.
Are you using nepomuk / strigi or other file indexing software? Which filesystem are you using? I'm not able to reproduce the bug using KDE 4.5 too (from archlinux packages).
(In reply to comment #3) > Are you using nepomuk / strigi or other file indexing software? > I have nepomuk enabled but strigi turned off. No other indexing software is installed. > Which filesystem are you using? I am using ext3. I have also tested another system (with KDE 4.4.4) which is using ext4 there I also cannot reproduce the bug.
Reassuming, you can reproduce the bug using KDE 4.5 with an ext3 FS but not with 4.4.4 and an ext4 FS. Is it correct?

@Christian, Could you give a more detailed explanation of the bug you encounter? I looked in the properties window and don't have a "Opened" line anywhere only a "Accessed" line and the time in there seems to be fine from what i can tell. Detailed screenshots with what you mean would be welcome.
I was actually talking about the "Accessed" line. However as I wanted to make a screenshot now, I discovered that I can no longer reproduce the bug with KDE 4.5.1. So please close the bug.
As you wish. Closed as fixed since it seems... fixed.
