Created attachment 47421 [details] Application Preference Order in Properties dialog Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux Dolphin 1.4: Tried changing the application preference order for a Matroska video by right-clicking the file and editing the properties. Was trying to give VLC highest preference, even over Kaffeine. Changes not taking affect after clicking on 'Apply' most of the time and Kaffeine always remains at highest preference unless I remove it from the list. Ex: Could not change order of VLC, but was able to move around Handbrake in the order 'only sometimes'. But the file plays on VLC if explicitly told to 'Open With' VLC or other applications. Not a codec issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Right click on a Matroska video, then, Edit File Type -> Making changes in the Application Preference Order -> Clicked on the 'Apply' button Actual Results: Small pop-up box saying 'Updating System Configuration'. It finishes, but then 'no' changes in the order of application preference. Expected Results: Changes in the Application Preferences Order should have taken effect when I clicked on 'Apply' OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-ARCH Compiler: gcc
