Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.4.3) OS: Linux Dolphin's SFTP login dialog (KIO slave) seems to be below the Dolphin window by default, causing the user to wait for it to appear when really it is waiting for input but that dialog box is hidden. Since Dolphin cannot do anything more (within this tab and with this connection) until the login is finished, this should be forced on top of Dolphin, even if Dolphin is set to be always on top (via KWin) (note, this is not how my own is set but a child dialog should always be above its parent by default). Sorry, perhaps this should be a KWin bug? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try to log into a server with sftp://user@server.ip.add.ress and notice that the login box appears in the Task Manager, but it is hidden under the main Dolphin window. Actual Results: Login window is hidden Expected Results: Login window is on top and Dolphin doesn't allow interaction untiul this is completed or the window is closed. OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.32-5-686 Compiler: cc
Cannot reproduce, sftp login dialog is modal in KDE 4.5RC3
I've reproduced this bug sometimes. Usually it happens when you change the focused window from konqueror/dolphin to another one before the dialog appear. It is a kwin issue, not a dolphin one. Moreover this is a duplicate. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 160395 ***
