Description usrrgt 2010-05-19 13:09:03 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.4.3)
OS: Linux
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Dolphin says that it copied all files when it isn't really.

Howto reproduce it:
Copy a directory that contains non-UTF8 files (or some corrupt files, I think that it will be valid anyway). Dolphin says "Can't copy X file", select "omit all". When the copy finished, Dolphin says that it copied all files in the summary.

Peter, this landed in kdelibs. Is the message window displayed by Dolphin or by kio? Please reassign if not a Dolphin issue.
Comment 2 Peter Penz 2010-05-20 20:43:45 UTC
@Christoph: This must be handled in Dolphin. It might be necessary to probably to some adjustments in kdelibs (I think currently it is not possible to recognize that e. g. "omit all"), but then this will done in the scope of this report.

Ok, doesn't seem like it will display all the text.
Continuation: I tried to copy the file and it worked, even on an NTFS file system. Then tried to copy the folder in which this file was and it worked too.

Please reopen if this still happens in KDE 4.10 or later. Thanks.
