Created attachment 43490 [details] dolphin could not read using audio cd and /dev/sr0
I changed my audiocd io slave configuration from /dev/cdrom to /dev/cdrom1. Dolphin still is unable to view my audio cd with /dev/sr0 Amarok also does not read audio CD on dual DVD drive system. I'm using Amarok 2.3.0 and KDE 4.4.2 from Kubuntu 10.04 LTS. I have a dvd rom and a dvdrw. K3b recognizes both drives. If I disconnect my dvd-rw then dolphin is able to view my audio cd using the dvd drive. I want to be able to view the audio cd in both drives and without disconnecting my dvd-rw.
Just for giggles, I installed ubuntu 10.04 and I was able to view an audio cd using my dvd rom drive. I'm a kde girl so, I'll wait it out to see if there i a fix for this.
@G.G: did you tried KDE or gnome on ubuntu 10.04?
I originally had kde installed. That's where I first saw the problem with two dvd rom drives. I installed ubuntu to see if the same thing would happen. I'm using kubuntu 10.04 again so I'm not able to view audio CDs in my dvd rom whereas I can video audio CDs in my DVD-RW. I think it must be a kde problem since this doesn't happen with gnome.
@Peter: could this be a kio bug?
@FiNeX: I'm not sure whether it is a 100% kio-bug or probably related to solid, but it is definitely not handled in Dolphin itself. I'd suggest to move it to kio.
