Version: (using KDE 4.4.2) Compiler: gcc 4.4.3 OS: Linux Installed from: Fedora RPMs Sometimes when I right-click on a file in Dolphin, and move the mouse to the "Open-With"- menu-item no menu appears, even if I explicitly on the entry, no sub-menu appears. When I close the context-menu, and try it again it usually works quite fine. Attached is a screenshot illustrating the problem. No matter what I do, the open-with-file-list won't appear. I've seen this behaviour from time to time, probably some race-condition like if my mouse is reaches the "Open-With"-Entry quicker than KDE was able to build the open-with list or something like that.

Can you reproduce the bug with the oxygen style too? Which style are you using?
Could you elaborate why you think this bug is somehow related to the theme used?
It wouldn't be the first time that the theme could generate a problem. Anyway this bug could be related to bug #246102
Just my personal opinion, I don't think its related to 246102 nor is it a theme bug. I looks like some kind of race condition, where the values of the menu are generated in a lazy way. However if for some reason the menu should open but the list-generation hasn't finished no sub-menu opens up. This would also explain why it happens in a random way only on files which haven't had this interaction before, and why it alwayws works the second time I open the context menu. - Clemens
@Clemens: just for excluding all the possibilities, would you like to check this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=246102#c3 Thanks :-)
I think this should be fixed now. Can anyone still reproduce this bug? If not, I'll close it soon™.
No response -> closing. Please reopen if you can still reproduce this behavior with the newest version of Dolphin.
