Version: 1.4 (using 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) "release 244", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.2) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.12-0.2-desktop I was copying one file from a Windows server using smb to a Unix server using ssh (through fish). By mistake I've performed the copy in the same time twice (the copy takes some minutes), at the end I obtained, on the unix host (HPUX) a bigger file (twice the initial one). This issue it's quite critical because performing a move corrupt the file definitively. Thanks a lot for your support Regards Antenore.
Very strange: When I paste twice an item, the second one asks for overwriting/renaming the destination. Didn't happen to you?
Pasting an object from local to local it was asking me to rename/overwrite, in all the other cases no warnings. Unlucky I now switched to kde 4.5 and I even cannot use ssh or smb in dolphin, so I cannot retest
Thanks for the quick feedback Antenore.
Please, would you like to try this bug when you will be able to use ssh / smb in dolphin again?
With KDE 4.5 it works, unlucky I don't have an older version available to test it.
Well, 4.5 is enough :-) Thanks again for checking it!
