Description Denis Prost 2010-04-24 18:17:52 UTC
Version: 1.4 (using (KDE 4.4.2) Frugalware Linux, 'Frugalware)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.33-fw2

I bound Meta+t to show/hide terminal emulator at the bottom of dolphin window.
Meta+t does show the terminal emulator and the focus goes to it, that's normal. But then, pressing again Meta+t does not hide the terminal emulator but type a "t" inside it.
The problem seems related to the Meta+t choice since using the default short key (F4) works fine.
this is a really minor bug, since I can use F4 instead. But I thought I would report it, in case it would reveal some more important dolphin terminal emulator problem.

I think this is a known issue: the terminal emulator manage keystrokes, so this is the aspected behaviour.
Comment 2 Peter Penz 2010-08-15 14:37:57 UTC
Thanks for the report, but as FiNeX said the terminal needs to manage the keystrokes too. I'm not sure if the current behavior is good and probably there are ways to improve this, but I'm closing this issue in the sense of that it is no "bug" :-)

OK, no problem, that was a real minor matter, and if you say this behavior is normal, then no reason to keep it open.
