Description Felix Geyer 2010-04-23 19:53:49 UTC
Version: 2.3.1 beta 1 (using KDE 4.4.2)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Currently Amarok uses the global shortcut Meta+P to toggle the main window.
Microsoft has decided to use Windows/Meta+P as a shortcut to change the display output ("Presentation Display Mode") [1].
Some laptops already emit Meta+P instead of XF86Display when pressing the monitor function key (Fn+F7/F8) [2,3].
It would be sensible to change the default shortcut for "Toggle main window" so the desktop environment can use it.

Well I guess we should change the shortcut then. Makes sense to me.

Any objections against this? Personally, I think we are already using too many global shortcuts anyway.

    Remove Meta+P global shortcut

Future notebooks model are going to emit Meta+P instead of XF86Display
when pressing the monitor function key (fn+f7/f8).
Avoid getting into troubles if the desktop environment is going to use
    this shortcut.
