Description H.H. 2010-03-10 20:44:53 UTC
Version: 1.4 (using 4.4.1 (KDE 4.4.1) "release 225", KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop / openSUSE_11.2)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.31.5-0.1-desktop

to reproduce:

- open dolphin, best to see this bug in detail-view-mode
- select a file by mouse click and leave mouse over filename
- now move mouse up or down over next file

the blue background-selection flickers black. this happens only after the first time after file-selection. after that I can hover and leave the mouse without flickering.

I hope you can reproduce, otherwise I will try to describe more detailled dolphin settings.

Thanks for the report, but I cannot reproduce the issue. Did you enable compositing? Do you use Oxygen as style with the default colors?
Comment 2 H.H. 2010-03-11 19:37:44 UTC
I can not reproduce it 100%, only 80% of the time. It happens with and without compositing enabled. Also with all styles I tested (oxygen, cleanlooks, skulpture). May exist a relation to the hover-tooltips?
Comment 3 Peter Penz 2010-03-12 07:51:18 UTC
I've also tried to reproduce it with tooltips enabled, but no flickering... Does the issue also occur in the file-open dialog (e. g. when you use kwrite)?
Comment 4 H.H. 2010-03-12 08:54:24 UTC
I cannot reproduce it in kwrites file open dialog.

Cannot reproduce in 4.4.5 too.
