Version:           1.70 (using KDE 4.4.0)

K3b 1.70's settings window is over 1000 pixels wide and cannot scaled down any further manually.

Hmm, I can't reproduce that. Which version of Qt do you use?

Seems like the "bad guy" is the theme preview image ... which makes me wonder why Michał doesn't have the same problem... no K3b themes installed at all?

I have all default themes on the list. Also my device's parameters has similar length to yours (doesn't fit on the list).
Maybe it has something to do with this problem: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=225735 ?

SVN commit 1098917 by mmalek:

Allow labels in ExternalBinWidget to word-wrap, otherwise it gets quite big with some translations.
